Last year I tried to make a Thanksgiving cornucopia with gourds spilling out of it … plus a human skull or two. I was completely unsuccessful in that endeavor, so I tried again this year. Although Midjourney now is a much better tool than it was a year ago, it still can’t create cornucopias. However, in the process of trying, I did end up with this bird/turkey/skull overseeing an autumn-themed still life.
One thing led to another and eventually Midjourney popped up something so very strange that I burst into laughter when I saw it.1 Of course I’m compelled to include it in this post.
Taking a break from the macabre, here’s a somewhat more traditional Thanksgiving scene. Every colorful item I imagined a cornucopia would contain is instead spread across a table.
There are numerous Thanksgiving-type foods on the table below as well — except in front of the cat. There’s a reason for that, and if you don’t know what it is, I’m guessing you’ve never lived with cats.2 In that case, please take a few seconds to watch this quick little video.
Finally …
Would human intelligence think to make a corn-cob hat for a skull? I think not. It’s this kind of surprise image that makes generative AI so delightful.
I’m impressed that AI picked up on this feline characteristic.
Hilarious pics!
