#107: Happy Thanksgiving
A few of this year's macabre and/or downright weird images
I’m not sure why I’ve been so fixated on creating Thanksgiving cornucopias with goodies — including a human skull — spilling out of them.1 It might’ve been at least partly due to the Facebook friend who, after learning about Midjourney from me, began making all manner of tasteful Thanksgiving images three years ago. Perhaps I felt there was already so much tastefulness in the world that I certainly didn’t need to add any more.
This year I got it into my head that a dragon-shaped cornucopia filled with fruits and vegetables would be a nice touch. Creating one turned out to be so difficult and time-consuming that I decided including a skull was beyond the pale — at least for 2025.2
I confess the image below veers towards good taste, yet I like it despite that.
And in any case, Midjourney and I got right back on track with the macabre.
Wishing you and yours a safe and happy Thanksgiving weekend — whatever form it takes.
You can see last year’s Thanksgiving post here. (And if you’re a glutton for punishment, it has a link to the previous year’s post as well.)
I have high hopes for next year. There’s a new AI image-generating app on the market that seems so good that I might just have to plunk some money down for it.
