Seems like I’ve been having even more fun than usual with Midjourney lately. I’ve always loved photographing old vehicles but now I’m learning that it’s actually much easier to simply create them.1
I’m not exactly sure how the image below showed up. I was trying to create an all-purpose style — one without a clear subject — and was experimenting with various prompts in the process. I never did come up with a style I liked, but I loved some of the experimental results. Like this one, for example.
There’s often a point late in the year where New Mexico mixes up fall and winter; I tried to recreate that effect below. I thought adding an old fire truck might be a nice touch and, while it does look old and red, I’m afraid the resemblance ends there.
Here’s another night sky …
… and another old pickup.
And then … well, I really don’t know how flowers got into the sky below. I thought they were absurd but I also really liked them. So here we are.
Here’s to ever more whimsy in our lives.
Old cars and pickups are inevitably surrounded by a wide array of other junk, making it quite difficult to get clean shots of them. Finding one in a scenic setting is almost as likely as winning the lottery.
