A few weeks ago, I asked Midjourney to create some watercolor-ish abstracts even though it generally doesn’t understand the concept of “abstract” very well. Despite that, it came up with several images I liked quite a bit. I think this one would make beautiful wrapping paper, especially paired with gold ribbons.
One of the results got me to thinking about Easter eggs for some reason, so I used a similar prompt to create the image below, changing “abstract” to “Easter eggs.”
That, in turn, reminded me that I’d tried to hatch kittens from Easter eggs last year. I tried the same prompt I’d used a year ago, with slightly more success this time.
My own take on AI is that it tends to promote mediocrity. For instance, it can’t deal very well with the idea of kittens hatching from Easter eggs since its database doesn’t have very many (if any) examples of that phenomenon. So it did its best (above) …
… then offered me some fairly credible images of kittens playing with Easter eggs, a concept it could understand more easily.
I personally don’t celebrate Easter. However, the return of flowers, butterflies, and bright colors to the world is always a source of great delight to me. Here’s an AI butterfly for those of you who’d like to join me in celebrating springtime and new growth.
Please accept my best wishes for a happy day filled with celebrations, large and small alike.
Pretty & cute pics!
