Wouldn’t you know it? On the heels of my recent obsession with the Fibonacci sequence, I (almost literally) ran into a couple of bighorn sheep up in northern New Mexico. I can’t imagine a more perfect representation of the Fibonacci sequence than their horns — um, except maybe an ammonite or the center of a sunflower, both of which I managed to include in the image below.
Although I’d hoped for years to see bighorn sheep within the Rio Grande Gorge, they didn’t actually show up until I’d emerged from the canyon onto the mesa. So I asked Midjourney to create a few of the pictures I didn’t have the opportunity to take myself. I was blown away by their overall accuracy.
I have never seen that many flowers in the Gorge but they’re totally believable otherwise. Even the rocks, including the lichens on them, are credible. And the ram is gorgeous — much better looking than the photo I actually got.
Eventually the realism became a bit too much for me so I asked Midjourney for a more abstract version of the Rio Grande Gorge.
Meanwhile, the cactuses in New Mexico have been busting out in bloom the last few weeks, which led me to wonder what Midjourney might come up with. Surprise, surprise — the AI blossoms turned out to be even more colorful than the real deal.
I really love the first image! The way it combines themes is really great. And the abstract gorge - wonderful colors
Luv the images! Great colors & designs!
